Because the “Kinugawa” itself is a small town and surrounded by abandoned buildings, not much to do. The check in staff didn’t let me know you needed reservation for the return taxi. I planned to grab a taxi to the train station at the check out but then, the staff told me without taxi reservation or shuttle reservation, waiting time for a taxi is around one hour. We ended up walked to the train station but missed the train and spent 5 hours waiting for the next train. I think the hotel staff should have let me know the reservation when I checked in as they knew we took a taxi to get to the hotel at check in. Lack of taxi service is understandable due to the size of town, so make sure to ask about the taxi or shuttle for your return!!! The check in staff was impersonal. The hotel seems to cater to a large group of people so if you are looking for more of traditional type of Japanese hotel service, look other hotels. But over all great hotel experience.
